Love this. I found myself having similar thoughts as I endured yet another NYFW. I paused when I was scrolling through pictures of influencers models etc at the Rosie Assoulin show and everything just felt too close. Like, I can name the people in these pictures, have real opinions about their ideas and personalities, can point out where these shows are on a map etc etc. and I realized like even though the clothes and fashion concepts themselves were bringing me joy, they felt too attached to “real” things that I have more negative (or at least, less fantastical) opinions about. That feeling and excitement of fashion when it’s cloistered in your head and heart is so pure and good and I hope to never lose that sense. Thanks so much for writing!
