I see a lot of comments on here about Kate Hill that seem to ignore the larger picture of the story: women are afraid of seeking power because the threat of revenge porn and all that comes with it is a terrifying and tangible reality.

It’s heartening to see a lot of legal scholarship and legislation taking shape around this issue, but it’s definitely not happening fast enough.

Not only are women going to have to take the risks that come with being a woman with a “history” (whatever that means) in the public eye, but it’s our responsibility to ensure that our voices of support are louder than those who would seek to diminish a woman for something ultimately very innocent and very private.
